EVALUATION OF HEALTH

                                       

Introduction:

            Eating right and exercising regularly is really important for staying fit. A balanced diet includes less of the fats and more of the proteins and carbohydrates. The main reason for weight gain in people is more food taken and less consumed as physical exercise. The increased weight is responsible for many health problems and thus closely monitoring the weight and engaging oneself in some form of physical activity is a necessity. There is a certain fixed range of weight at a fixed range of height and people should follow that. Following a strict diet and exercise plan really helps to maintain good health at all ages. Avoiding habits like smoking and taking too much alcohol is also detrimental to health.

Main Body:

            The physical activity is really helpful in maintaining well being of the body. I am a 5’ 9 and 155 lbs and stay on a strict diet. I avoid taking alcohol and smoking because it has a lot of health demerits. I try to maintain as much as balanced living as possible. Staying fit requires being in regular physical activity which I maintain as a habit. I take protein and carbohydrate rich diet and cut on the fats. The general diet structure should comprise more of the fibers like fruits and vegetables and less of the food products containing fat. Fat has the tendency of getting stored in the body and is also responsible for making obese. Thus, consumption of fat should be watched over and continued regular exercise is really necessary for that.

It is thus very necessary that the nutritional requirement should be fulfilled and ideal health and nutrition structure is followed which comprise a balance of regular physical activity along with controlled and nutrients specific eating habits. The diet structure followed should be having more of the protein content in the form of eggs, fish and chicken and a lot of fibers which is present in fruits and vegetables. The carbohydrate content should be contributed by taking breads, oatmeal and rice but the preference should be brown rice instead of white rice. White rice is high on starch and carbohydrates while brown rice is a mix of balanced carbohydrates along with fibers. Taking a fruit or milk for less hunger is always better than taking snacks which on fats and cholesterol.

Staying away from habits like drinking and smoking has long term effects on positive well being and thus any additive substance should not be taken in order to maintain healthy living. Taking more and more of fruits and vegetables also fulfills the vitamin and mineral requirements of the body which plays a big role in promoting health. The physical activity easily managed by all people is walking, jogging, mowing a lawn and riding bicycle and these should be included in the daily routine. Strenuous exercises and health supplements should be taken only with an expert’s advice when needed. Thus, knowing the ways to stay fit always helps in keeping well and disease free.
